Setting up the SharePoint / Windows Explorer Sync

Log into SharePoint via your web browser and navigate to the Documents page.

Click the sync button in SharePoint to setup a local copy and access to files via Windows Explorer.

(Doing this via Chrome)

You'll see two pop-up boxes. Click the Open Microsoft OneDrive button.

SharePoint / Windows Explorer Sync Wizard

Next you'll see the setup Wizard, make sure your Microsoft office email is in the sign in field and click the sign in button. Enter your Microsoft Office 365 password and click Sign In.

The local OneDrive folder is created. The default location is under the current user folder where your "Documents," "Download" and other similar folders are located. (do not change this location unless you know what your doing. This location is fine for most users.) Click Next.

Select which folders you would like to Sync with. Only select those you use commonly to reduce use of local hard drive space. You can always change this at a later date or access files online via SharePoint for less commonly used files. Click Next.

A short demo of instructions from SharePoint / One Drive will be displayed. Click through it. Click Open my OneDrive folder.

Windows Explorer will open. A new top level section in the left hand navigation will be displayed.
